World Expeditions is thrilled to announce the appointment of Pam Dewar as the new National Sales Manager for World Expeditions, effective from July 1, 2024. Pam brings with her an impressive history in the leisure, travel and tourism industries, backed by over a decade of experience within World Expeditions.
Pam Dewar steps into her new role following a successful tenure as Queensland Sales Manager at World Expeditions, where she has been instrumental in driving sales growth and fostering client relationships. Her promotion marks a strategic move for the company as it focuses on rebuilding international sales and enhancing product offerings.
Sue Badyari, CEO of World Expeditions, commented on the appointment, stating;
“Stepping into the role of National Sales Manager for World Expeditions is both a natural and positive progression for Pam, the team, and the company. Pam has been integral to rebuilding our international sales and with her stellar experience and some 13 years with our company is the ideal person to steer these initiatives and achieve the heights we are striving for.”
In her new role, Pam will focus on driving sales growth by nurturing client satisfaction and increasing both new and repeat traveller bookings. Pam expressed her excitement about the new role, saying;
“I am very excited about this opportunity to work with my team to increase sales and awareness of World Expeditions International. I’ve had an amazing journey with World Expeditions to date – the culture here is unlike anything I’ve experienced. In terms of company camaraderie, support, and staff wellbeing, it’s more akin to working for a family business than the multinational, multi-brand organisation World Expeditions has become. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to continue my career trajectory and personal growth as part of such a progressive and welcoming business.”
Reflecting on her adventures with World Expeditions, Pam shared;
“I love working for an organisation that actively promotes sustainable, mindful tourism practices. World Expeditions supports local communities in remote locations through the pioneering of new trips and working with specialist guides and escorts to create amazing adventures with minimal environmental impact.
“I’ve had some great adventures to date through World Expeditions, including escorting a group on the Trans-Siberian Railway, rebuilding a medical centre in Nepal, snowshoeing in Antarctica, kayaking in Fiji, hiking in South America, and more recently trekking through Japan. I look forward to many more adventures in my next decade with the WEX team.”
With Pam at the helm of the national sales team, World Expeditions is poised for continued growth and success in the international travel market.
