Is it the location? Slap bang in the middle of everything, you can walk to all the major attractions and the West End in minutes.

Is it the high touch service that makes you feel a million dollars (or two million in AU!)?

Is it the ultra-luxurious, super boutique style?

Is it the incredible facilities? Tick off a state of the art gym that feels like an elite fitness centre, not a hotel gym. Add in a stunning pool surrounded by comfy bean bags and day beds that beg you to come chill.

Is it the fantastic dining options which include The Lounge, The Rooftop restaurant, The Terrace and the Whiskey Bar. There is even a pub – Joshua’s Tavern – that’s attached to the hotel.

Is it the urban resort feel that means you don’t have to step outside the door because all your needs are met?

I think it’s all these things and on my recent stay I took full advantage of everything that was on offer, but most importantly the wellness aspect of this beautiful hotel.

As I had just done the gruelling 24-hour flight from Australia, I wanted to recover for a couple of days in the capital and The Londoner is the perfect place to do that as it integrates wellness seamlessly into its opulent environment, providing a holistic approach to relaxation and rejuvenation.

The wellness facilities are designed to cater to both physical and mental well-being. At the heart of the wellness offerings is The Retreat, an exclusive sanctuary that promises a transformative experience.

The Retreat features an impressive indoor swimming pool, perfect for a refreshing dip or a few laps. Adjacent to the pool, guests can unwind in the hydro pool, sauna and steam room, each providing therapeutic benefits and helping to detoxify and relax. Perfect after a 24-hour flight.

The Londoner also boasts a state of the art gym equipped with the latest fitness technology. Its modern design and high-quality equipment are more akin to a Virgin active club than a hotel gym.

The spa offers a variety of treatments that draw on both modern techniques and ancient traditions. Skilled therapists provide massages, facials and body treatments using premium products, aiming to restore balance and promote relaxation.

Signature treatments, such as the Londoner Rejuvenation, are specifically designed to enhance well-being and leave guests feeling revitalised.

Nutrition also plays a crucial role in the wellness philosophy at the property. Dining options include menus that emphasise fresh, locally sourced ingredients, catering to various dietary preferences and requirements.

The Londoner ensures that every aspect of a guest’s stay contributes to their overall well-being. From the tranquil ambiance of the wellness facilities to the thoughtful details in every room, the hotel creates an environment where relaxation and luxury coexist harmoniously.

Yoga classes are complimentary and …wait for it…there is now state of the art Drip Hydration on offer – the ultimate jet-lag remedy!

Book in for “The Londoner”, the most comprehensive infusion containing high doses of B-vitamins, super-antioxidants, minerals and amino acids to boost energy levels and improve mood.

After my two nights here I was refreshed and ready for the rest of my trip. I cannot recommend this hotel enough as the perfect start to a trip to the UK/Europe and I now understand why it’s such a winner for Aussies and why they keep coming back for more.
