The curtains have fallen on the Sydney edition of the Visit USA Expo Series 2024, marking the culmination of a three-day event that swept through Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney.

Hosted at The Fullerton Hotel Sydney, the Expo was a shining success with more than 260 travel agents joining the 80+ exhibitors for a night of USA magic.

The Expo drew in an energetic crowd of travel agents enthusiastic to learn the most recent trends, offerings, and opportunities spanning the United States.

A captivating and lively Expo Hall, plus entertaining presentations, and the new addition of the Responsible Tourism Panel all played a part in fostering a thorough comprehension of the evolving landscape of travel in the USA.

US Consul General for New South Wales and Queensland, Christine Elder, offered agents some very exciting news announcing a pilot programme, ‘One-Stop’.

This programme will enable Australian passengers transiting to an onward destination within the US to bypass security screening in the transit airport. The first route worldwide with this pilot programme is Sydney to San Francisco.

In a spectacular conclusion, with thanks to New York City Tourism + Conventions, travel agents enjoyed an exclusive sneak preview of the musical & JULIET, set to open in Sydney next week.

The star of the show, Lorinda May Merrypor, captivated agents with a stunning live performance. Australian media personality, Mike Goldman, was also on hand, adding an extra layer of excitement as he roved through the Expo, sharing his passion for the USA.

Caroline Davidson, President of Visit USA Australia, expressed her gratitude, saying, “The Sydney Expo was an incredible conclusion to our Expo Series.

We are truly appreciative of the overwhelming support from travel agents, exhibitors, and industry professionals who made this event a resounding success.”

As the Sydney Expo concluded, travel agents departed with a wealth of knowledge, new connections, and heightened excitement for the travel possibilities the USA has to offer.

The outgoing 2023 Visit USA Executive Committee was also thanked for their contribution to the success of the organisation.
