In an exciting collaboration, Destination Canada and Virtuoso teamed up to host the first-ever study tour for Virtuoso Advisors from the Australian and New Zealand markets, offering a journey through some of Canada’s most stunning landscapes. The tour took the group through Vancouver and Whistler in British Columbia, and Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories, renowned as the Aurora Capital of the World.

Led by Virtuoso’s Account Director, Michelle Duncan, the group of seven advisors were treated to a series of bespoke experiences designed to enhance their knowledge of this remarkable destination. Each day was filled with activities that showcased the very best of Canada’s natural beauty, luxury travel options, and adventure offerings.

“Virtuoso Study Tours provide ongoing support, surpassing standard educational programs to reinforce learning and reiterate resources,” said Duncan. “The knowledge gained through these tours is shared with the entire Virtuoso network via post-trip recorded calls and updates from participating Advisors on their sales success with the product and destination.”

During their immersive journey, the Virtuoso Advisors took part in an array of exceptional activities, from zodiac excursions and market food tours to Michelin-star dining and Grouse Mountain adventures. They also enjoyed a thrilling 4×4 glacier safari, a bear-viewing photography tour, ziplining, and a helicopter flight over British Columbia’s stunning landscapes.

A highlight of the trip was a visit to Yellowknife, where the group stayed at the iconic Blachford Lake Lodge, accessible only by a 25-minute float plane from Yellowknife. There, they witnessed one of the world’s most breathtaking displays of the Northern Lights—a truly awe-inspiring experience that is sure to inspire their clients back home.

The tour provided a unique opportunity for the Virtuoso Advisors to deepen their understanding of Canada’s diverse offerings, enabling them to better serve their clientele with first-hand insights and tailored travel recommendations.

This collaboration marks an important step in showcasing Canada’s premier travel experiences to the Australian and New Zealand markets, while further strengthening the knowledge and expertise of Virtuoso Advisors across the globe.
