The airline’s modern fleet includes advanced aircraft such as the A321ceo, A321neo, A321neo ACF, and newly ordered A330neo, all equipped with NEO engines known for their fuel efficiency. These aircraft help reduce fuel consumption, CO2 emissions, and noise pollution, reinforcing Vietjet’s commitment to environmentally responsible aviation. Vietjet has also been observing other green initiatives such as the adoption of electronic tickets and online check-ins to the use of sustainable materials onboard.
In October, Vietjet successfully operated its first flights powered by Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) to Melbourne and Incheon, marking a significant milestone in the airline’s sustainability journey. SAF can reduce emissions by up to 80% compared to traditional fossil fuels. Vietjet has also partnered with reputable international organisations to further research, develop, and implement SAF solutions, supporting Vietnam’s COP26 commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
