United Airlines has announced that it is the official airline  partner of the Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Marathon presented by ASICS, for 2024.  United is one of the main sponsors of the iconic event, supporting the 5km race on  Sunday, November 3, 2024.  

Leading up to the race this Sunday, United is making travel easier for U.S. passengers  heading to Auckland. The airline is now offering daily flights on its San Francisco Auckland route for the summer period, ensuring seamless connections just in time for the  event and the holiday season. 

As New Zealand’s largest running event for over 30 years, the Auckland Marathon invites  participants to experience the race along Viaduct Harbour, and through Auckland’s city,  offering a once-a-year opportunity to cross the Auckland Harbour Bridge on foot.  Hundreds are set to compete in the United Airlines 5km race, finishing at Victoria Park. 

Tim Wallis, United Airlines Regional Manager – Australia, New Zealand and Tahiti, is  proud to join forces with the Auckland Marathon for the first time.
