Travellers Choice Managing Director Christian Hunter will update member shareholders on the company’s development of new and innovative support services during a series of capital city briefings this month.

The annual Member Meetings – which start in Sydney tomorrow (Saturday, 6 July), followed over the next few weeks by gatherings in Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth – will also see Hunter review the company’s performance over the past financial year, and present the Board’s current forecasts and priorities for the next 12 months.

He will be joined by Chair Trent Bartlett who will explore some of the emerging trends set to reshape the broader travel industry and the strategies Travellers Choice is pursuing to ensure it adapts and thrives.

“Ultimately it’s an opportunity for members to converse directly with our Board and management about a broad range of issues that directly affect them as independent travel businesses and as Travellers Choice shareholders,” says Hunter.

“These include not just our continued innovations in terms of the tools and resources we provide our members, but also our efforts to further elevate the Travellers Choice brand profile, expand our national network and invest in additional internal resources.

“At the same time, I want to challenge members to reflect on how they themselves are responding to a fast-evolving trading environment in which success is more dependent than ever on their ability to understand, anticipate and fulfil the needs of individual customers.”

The 2024 Member Meetings will also provide an opportunity for Hunter to update Travellers Choice members on the activities the Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA) following his appointment as Chair of the national peak representative body.
