Some educational trips are jam-packed and a bit of a whirlwind… this year’s Choice Reward trip to the Maldives was not one of them.

As they soaked up the sun at the all-inclusive Club Med Kani, the only thing Travellers Choice members had to concern themselves with was whether or not to take a dip in the warm waters surrounding the private atoll, head for the spa or order another cocktail.

Nevertheless, some of the members did find the energy to embrace the resort’s many activities, which include scuba diving, snorkelling, padel, yoga and more.

Among them was All About Travel’s Courtney Machon, who tried her hand as a circus performer on Club Med’s renowned trapeze. The entire group also travelled to a desert island for an unforgettable lobster BBQ picnic, after which they snorkelled with sharks, turtles, rays and different species of multi-coloured fish.

Caroline Sage, from Panorama Cruise & Travel, praised the resort’s “theme nights”, which included a White Night on the beach on the final evening of the trip. But For Chris Watson Travel’s Janine Snook, “the icing on the cake” was the fact that all of the Travellers Choice members got to experience Club Med Kani’s spectacular overwater suites.

The group also had the opportunity to spend a day at Finolhu Villas, a member of the Club Med Exclusive Collection, which sits on its own private atoll.

The 10 agents secured their spot on the trip by winning one of the 30 Choice Awards that Travellers Choice presents each year to its top performing members, based on their support of the network’s preferred suppliers.

As part of their prize, Choice Award winners have the opportunity to choose one of three Reward Trips, with this year’s options also including New Zealand and Vietnam.
