Greyhound Australia has today announced the appointment of Natalie (Tilly) Loughborough as its new Chief Operating Officer, effective 20 March 2025.
The strategic appointment underscores Greyhound’s commitment to operational excellence as Australia’s only national long-distance coach network, said Entrada Travel Group CEO John Thorburn.
“Tilly is an outstanding leader with an extensive background in transport operations across complex and highly regulated environments,” he said.
“Her expertise in driving customer-focused solutions, alongside her passion for innovation and sustainability, makes her the ideal choice to lead Greyhound Australia’s operations into the future.”
With nearly two decades of transformative leadership in public transport, Tilly brings a wealth of expertise to the role, and said she looks forward to ensuring the continued delivery of reliable and sustainable coach services.
“I’m excited to join Greyhound Australia at such a pivotal time for the transport sector as we navigate evolving customer expectations and sustainability opportunities,” Tilly said.
Tilly joins Greyhound from the National Transport Research Organisation where she served as Executive Director for Rail and Public Transport, with overarching responsibility for all modes and all aspects of public transport.
Previously, Tilly held senior roles at Metro Trains Melbourne, where she successfully managed Australia’s largest urban rail network, and Transdev Australasia, where she oversaw extensive bus and ferry operations across Queensland.
She will focus on leveraging data-driven insights, enhancing service quality, and strengthening Greyhound’s environmental and community commitments.
“I look forward to working with the team to deliver seamless, safe, and customer-centric travel experiences that support communities across Australia,” Tilly said.
Tilly’s leadership credentials extend beyond operational management, with active membership of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and service on the Governance Committee for Transport Women Australia Limited.
She is also the Deputy Chair of the Chartered Institute of Railway Operators Australia and New Zealand, reflecting her commitment to industry excellence and mentorship.
Her appointment signals an exciting new era for Greyhound, reinforcing its mission to deliver safe, enjoyable, and seamless travel to communities across city, coast and country through inclusive and sustainable actions.
