Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has released tickets for its new River Cruise Showcase on August 29, providing a packed afternoon of training for travel agents attending Cruise360 Australasia in Sydney.
To be held as a half-day seminar on the day before Cruise360, the River Cruise Showcase will providing an essential overview of the river cruise segment and is aimed at both newcomers to river cruising as well as seasoned sellers.
It will include quick-fire presentations from nine leading river cruise lines, each giving insight into their brand’s unique characteristics and positioning, the rivers and destinations they serve, and the key demographics among their guests.
It will also include two informative panel discussions, one focused on river destinations and the unique experiences they offer, and the other discussing how to identify and effectively target river cruise guests.
“River cruising has become one of the most vibrant areas of international travel and it presents fantastic opportunities for travel agents in Australia and New Zealand,” said CLIA Managing Director in Australasia Joel Katz. “Understanding the diversity of different cruise lines and destinations is key, so this showcase is designed to help travel agents to boost their knowledge and capitalise on the latest developments in river cruising.”
Participating cruise lines include AmaWaterways, APT, A-ROSA River Cruises, Avalon Waterways, Emerald Cruises, Riviera Travel River Cruises, Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours, Tauck, and Uniworld Boutique River Cruises.
CLIA’s River Cruise Showcase will be held at ICC Sydney from 12-4pm on Thursday 29 August, ahead of the Cruise360 Australasia conference on Friday 30 August.
