Sportsnet Holidays, Asia Pacific’s leading events travel and experience provider, and Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi  Gras, LGBTQIA+ community leaders and organisers of the famous Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade and  Festival, are pleased to announce a collaboration on SGLMG’s new Exclusive Official Travel and Experiences Program  – Sydney Mardi Gras Packages.

Designed to make it easier than ever to experience the world-famous festival, Sportsnet will create an exclusive  white label platform for those interested in attending the Sydney Mardi Gras to purchase official travel packages. This multi-year partnership is set to significantly increase cross-border visitation while offering an improved level of  service for regular festivalgoers to book their trip to Sydney.

The new partnership between Sportsnet and Sydney Mardi Gras, known as ‘Sydney Mardi Gras Packages’, will offer festivalgoers package options that pair accommodation and local experiences with access to ticketed events taking  place in Sydney throughout the festival. In 2025 these events will include Kaftana and Paradiso Pool Parties, Ultra  Violet, Taylor Square Takeover, Laugh Out Proud, Mardi Gras Party, Laneway and Sissy Ball.

Sportsnet Holidays, as Sydney Mardis Gras Packages, will manage a panel of authorised resellers on behalf of Sydney  Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

Sportsnet CEO Daniel Cecconi expressed his delight with the partnership: “We are incredibly excited to partner with  Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. By offering comprehensive travel packages that include accommodation, event  tickets, exclusive experiences and the like, Sportsnet will make it easier and more appealing for festivalgoers to  attend, which in turn will boost tourism, awareness and economic activity for Sydney as well as Mardi Gras.” said  Daniel Cecconi.

“To be able to branch outside the realm of sports events for the first time in our 25-year history, and to do so with a  best-in-breed category leader in mass-participation events such as the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras is an  incredibly exciting prospect for Sportsnet over the years to come,” added Sportsnet CCO, Franc Zvonar.

To market the packages, Sportsnet and Sydney Mardi Gras will develop a strategy to attract potential festivalgoers  from all over the world to the new Sydney Mardi Gras Packages website, targeting those who are looking for their event experiences to be more seamless with an itinerary organised for them.

We’re proud to partner with Sportsnet Holidays to deliver an all-new way for people to experience Sydney Gay and  Lesbian Mardi Gras,” said Gil Beckwith, CEO of Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. “This collaboration marks a  significant step forward in making our festival more accessible, seamless, and unforgettable for LGBTQIA+ visitors  from around the globe. Together, we’re not only enhancing the Mardi Gras experience for our community but also  driving tourism and shining a spotlight vibrant culture and unique charm of Sydney.”
