Jetstar Flight JQ43 from Melbourne to Bali was forced to turn back yesterday after a passenger allegedly abused and threatened fellow passengers onboard.
“Out of nowhere she decided to go up and down the aisle abusing staff and then yeah just sort of got worse and worse,” a passenger told 9 News.
“She said she was going to vomit and pee on everyone,” another said.
Australian Federal Police were called to meet the plane when it arrived back in Melbourne following the incident.
“The captain decided to return to Melbourne to get assistance from the Australian Federal Police after a passenger became disruptive just under two hours into the flight,” a Jetstar spokesperson said.
“We know this was a difficult experience for other customers and our team members, and we thank those who assisted with the situation.
Several crew members were unable to continue flying so the flight was rescheduled to depart on Tuesday morning.
It’s not known what if any charges the woman may be facing, and the AFP are investigating.
Passengers were given accommodation overnight.
