The Emerald City is set to commemorate a historic milestone as it marks 50 years of Seattle Pride in 2024. Known for its LGBTQ+-friendly atmosphere, Seattle invites locals and visitors to join in a month of celebrations, culminating in the Official Pride Parade on June 30.
Highlights of the festivities include:
  • The Seattle Pride Parade, featuring over 250 organisations
  • Pride in the Park offers performances, food trucks, and community booths
  • A comprehensive LGBTQ+ Seattle Guide for year-round community support
Seattle’s vibrant LGBTQ+ culture shines throughout the city, particularly in neighbourhoods like Capitol Hill. Visitors can experience drag shows, dine at farm-to-table restaurants, and shop vintage fashion, all while supporting queer-run businesses. Inclusive accommodations like the Lotte Hotel and the Sound Hotel welcome LGBTQ+ travellers.
For outdoor enthusiasts, Queer Mountaineers hosts regular climb nights at local facilities, while OutVentures organises hiking, camping, and kayaking excursions in the greater Seattle area.
In a related celebration, the Port of Seattle will honour the city’s aviation history on 13 July with “Past and Present: Celebrating 75 Years of Service” at The Museum of Flight.
