Royal Caribbean International is teaming up with two seasoned architectural firms to bring to life the highly anticipated Royal Beach Club Paradise Island* in Nassau, The Bahamas, opening in late 2025. The distinguished design and project management firm located in Nassau, ArchVenture Company Ltd., and Stantec, a global leader in themed entertainment and sustainable design, will collaborate with the vacation brand to thread the beauty of The Bahamas and Royal Caribbean’s signature touches throughout the first-of-its-kind beach club experience.
“We are very pleased to bring on two firms, ArchVenture and Stantec, whose work reflects the highest standards of excellence in both form and function,” said Philip Simon Jr., president and general manager, Royal Beach Club and Royal Caribbean International Bahamas. “ArchVenture’s design approach is deeply rooted in the cultural heritage of the Bahamian community, while Stantec will work to incorporate sustainable functionality, and collaborating with them both will result in an experience where true Bahamian charm shines alongside top-notch infrastructural support and engineering.”
Royal Caribbean has set out to seamlessly integrate the beauty of The Bahamas and sustainability into key design elements at the heart of the 17-acre beach experience, which include a focus on six key commitments: zero waste-to-landfill, renewable energy, no dredging and no overwater cabanas, wastewater treatment, protecting and enhancing the surrounding habitat, and environmental monitoring.
Stantec’s expertise and well-known reputation in innovative environmental planning and sustainable infrastructure development make it the ideal lead consultant. The local firm, ArchVenture, also specializes in innovative architectural and sustainable design that incorporates eco-friendly practices to preserve the natural environment while ensuring the experience maintains the Bahamian flare vacationers know and love.
Royal Caribbean marked the start of construction on the beach club when it broke ground in April with top Bahamian officials and community leaders. The first of the vacation brand’s Royal Beach Club Collection will make for the ultimate beach day, and at the heart of it all will be The Bahamas. Alongside private cabanas, stunning pools and more, vacationers will be welcomed by local architecture that complements the views of The Bahamas’ turquoise waters and white sand beaches, along with experiences that feature Bahamian fare, island-style barbecues, live music and local artisans.
The vacation brand’s commitment to local hiring, environmental preservation and sustainable development ensures that Royal Beach Club Paradise Island will also be a top destination experience that protects and promotes the island’s natural environment and supports the local economy. From the location – one of the island’s most idyllic beaches – to the Bahamian food, culture and staff, to a unique public-private partnership in which Bahamians will own up to 49% equity, the all-new beach club seamlessly combines the vibrant beauty and culture of The Bahamas with signature Royal Caribbean touches across the experience, service and design.
More details about Royal Beach Club Paradise Island will be revealed in the coming months.
