Qantas Flight QF148 was involved in an incident in the moments before take off from Auckland to Sydney on Friday afternoon.
“Our Auckland to Sydney flight experienced an engine fault before take-off on Friday evening and was returned back to the gate,” Qantas said in a statement.
“Our engineers will inspect the aircraft to determine the issue and customers who were onboard the flight will be provided with accommodation, transport and meals in Auckland.”
Auckland Airport’s runway had to be inspected and cleared of potential debris following the incident which caused delays for inbound aircraft.
