Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), the innovator in global cruise travel, is celebrating the arrival of Norwegian Sun to local waters for the first time. During her inaugural AUNZ season, Norwegian Sun will offer a series of immersive sailings including several maiden calls, turnarounds in Sydney and Brisbane, followed by an extensive Asia season.

Following her Australian arrival in Brisbane and Melbourne on 18 and 21 December, Norwegian Sun will sail port- intensive itineraries exploring the Great Barrier Reef and South Pacific, including 14-day sailings departing from Brisbane (23 April 2025) and Sydney (20 August 2025).

Norwegian Sun’s collection of sun-seeking voyages will also include NCL’s maiden visit to Townsville, brand-first sailings from Lautoka to Sydney (6 August 2025) and Bali to Brisbane (9 April 2025), several itineraries exploring Australia’s glorious east coast and the natural wonders of New Zealand, immersive 11-15 day itineraries across Asia and a series of island-hopping South Pacific sailings departing from Papeete (Tahiti) to discover the region’s turquoise lagoons, lush rainforests, vibrant villages and colourful marine life.

14-day South Pacific: Fiji, Vanuatu & Great Barrier Reef, Brisbane to Lautoka departing from Brisbane on 23 April 2025

This tropical treat traverses the east coast of Queensland visiting Airlie Beach in the picturesque Whitsundays, Townsville and Cairns before sailing to Port Vila and Mystery Island in Vanuatu to dive into crystal clear swimming holes and experience Pacific Islands culture. This voyage also includes four ports in Fiji – an enduring favourite with holidaymakers – with calls to Dravuni, Savusavu, Denarau and Lautoka.

Between June and October 2025, Norwegian Sun will sail three captivating, extended ‘Fire and Ice’ itineraries of 15 or 16 days, inviting guests to experience a stimulating blend of icy landscapes and palm-fringed tropical isles.
