The world’s original lifestyle influencer, Martha Stewart, is heading to Australia to headline a one-night-only In Conversation event at Vivid Sydney 2025.
Set to take place on Wednesday, 28 May at ICC Sydney, the exclusive event will see Stewart reflect on her extraordinary career, her ever-evolving personal brand and the shifting trends in food, design and homemaking.
Audiences can also expect candid insights into her most iconic pop culture moments – and a glimpse into how she’s remained at the top of her game for more than 40 years.
“I have made some wonderful memories traveling to Australia over the years, so I am thrilled to return for Vivid Sydney,” said Ms Stewart.
“The conversation will be fun and honest, covering many aspects of my life and career. I’m always looking for inspiration when I travel so I’m excited to see what Sydney has to offer.”
Widely regarded as the first self-made female billionaire, Stewart is an Emmy Award®-winning television host and best-selling author of 101 books.
Since the release of her first book Entertaining in 1982, she has become a household name and a global authority on everything from cooking and gardening to décor and design.
“Vivid Sydney is unrivalled in its ability to offer exclusive, unmissable and one-of-a-kind events to visitors,” said Gill Minervini, Vivid Sydney Festival Director.
“It’s incredibly exciting to welcome one of the most revered and fascinating minds to Sydney. We could not think of a better figure that encapsulates this year’s theme of Dream more than Martha Stewart.”
Steve Kamper, NSW Minister for Jobs and Tourism, added: “Martha Stewart is a powerhouse of innovation and entrepreneurship, and her inclusion in Vivid Sydney 2025 reaffirms the festival’s ability to bring the world’s boldest characters to our Harbour City.
“With an array of experiences across Light, Music, Ideas and Food waiting to be discovered, we encourage every visitor to immerse themselves in all this year’s festival has to offer.”
Stewart joins an impressive line-up of international creative leaders as part of the Vivid Sydney Global Storyteller series. Previous participants have included Jennifer Coolidge, Mike White, Amy Poehler, Troye Sivan, Baz Luhrmann and Spike Lee.
Vivid Sydney will run from May 23 to June 14 with more big-name announcements still to come.
