Ahura Resorts – the 100% Fijian family-owned management company of Likuliku Lagoon Resort, is excited to announce a series of major revitalisation projects for 2025 during which, the resort will close from 1st February to 30th April 2025.
The major projects will include:
- A refurbishment and refresh of all Bures including adding private plunge pools to 11 of the existing Beachfront Bures which will increase the Deluxe Beachfront Bure category from 18 to 29 bures.
- The completion of the environmentally-friendly synthetic roof thatching project on the remaining Beachfront and Deluxe Beachfront bures on the Eastern side of the resort.
- A refurbishment of the signature main pool
The addition of an exciting new restaurant concept offering an alternative evening dining experience to the existing signature Fijiana restaurant and taking the overall dining options to 3 outlets.
Introducing Saluwaki – the Fijian word for a collection of indigenous herbs and spices. Saluwaki’s cuisine will present Pan-Asian dishes with a spotlight on local ingredients from the land and sea – including the resort’s own garden and surrounding waters, as well as throughout Fiji.
The addition of the na Vanua Conservation Hub in conjunction with the Ahura Resorts Conservation Foundation. “na Vanua,” translating to “the land” in Fijian, holds significant cultural and ecological meaning. In the Fijian culture, “vanua” encompasses more than just the physical land; it also includes the people, their traditions, customs, and the natural environment. It represents a deep connection and respect for the land, acknowledging its role in sustaining life and community.
The conservation hub celebrates the resort’s ongoing partnership with their traditional land-owners to preserve and protect the local environment and traditions.
The addition of the na Vanua will be a journey of discovery where guests will begin a progressive set of activities incorporating some of the key conservation projects underway at the resort and throughout the island.

For existing bookings already in place during this time, guests will be offered a full refund, or the opportunity to rebook to alternative dates.
