Intrepid Travel is recruiting its first ever Chief Impact Officer (CIO).
The newly created role will join the core management team of direct reports to Chief Executive Officer, James Thornton and will lead the global company into its next phase of business purpose, philanthropy and impact.
The Chief Impact Officer will be responsible for ensuring Intrepid Travel is at the forefront of industry innovation, leadership and advocacy, with the aim to drive and deepen impact at a global scale.
Intrepid Travel has been a signatory to the UN Global Compact since 2008 and a certified B Corp since 2018. It was recognised by TIME as one of the 100 Most Innovative Companies in the World in 2023.
The new CIO’s remit will include Ieading both Intrepid’s Purpose function, as well as its not-for-profit, the Intrepid Foundation. Together these teams aim to drive impact and positive outcomes for communities across the world. Under Intrepid’s ambitious future growth plans, it is seeking to further drive its long-term commitment to drive positive, lasting impact in communities and achieve its mission to create positive change through the joy of travel.
Additionally, the new role will support Intrepid’s Chief People Officer to drive a values-led culture across its global business, comprising more than 2,900 team members and operations in 120 countries.
