Today, Carnival Cruise Line wishes Dr. Seuss a Happy Birthday to You! with the announcement of a brand-new themed breakfast offering onboard its Australian ships.
The Thing 1 & Thing 2 Birthday Breakfast will debut on Carnival Luminosa from 1 April 2024 and Carnival Splendor from 11 April 2024.
The announcement comes as a gift to Aussies in celebration of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, celebrated annually during the first week of March.
As the story says, “Today is your birthday! Today You are You!” Enjoy a new breakfast with Thing 1 and Thing 2!
Carnival’s existing family-favourite Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast will be replaced by this one-of-a-kind birthday celebration led by Thing 1 and Thing 2. The new take on the breakfast will celebrate individuality and uniqueness in true Seussian style, complete with brand new menu items, activities, music and more.
“Today is your birthday! You get what you wish.” Come find your new favourite Dr. Seuss dish!
For those who love Green Eggs and Ham, they’re still on the menu, Sam-I-Am! The special new breakfast will be available on the last sea-day of all cruises onboard Carnival Luminosa and Carnival Splendor and guests are advised to book early to avoid missing out. The menu will feature new and exciting Dr. Seuss-themed breakfast options including Grinch’s Pancakes; One Berry, Two Berry, Strawberry and Peach Waffles; and more.

To celebrate the joy of reading and Carnival’s long-time partnership with Dr. Seuss, over the weekend Carnival ships across the global fleet hosted a special Dr. Seuss Birthday Party including themed treats, games and trivia, visits from characters including The Cat in The Hat, Thing 1 & Thing 2, and a special story-time reading of Dr. Seuss’s “Happy Birthday to You!”.
