The ‘Arnhem Land & Kakadu Explorer’ tour begins in Darwin with an overnight city stay before flying to Maningrida in Arnhem Land for a two-night stay at Barramundi Lodge, owned and operated by Outback Spirit.

The journey continues across bush roads to Mount Borradaile and the World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park, one of the largest national parks in Australia, covering almost 20,000 square kilometres.

Highlights include:

  • Travelling in Outback Spirit’s custom-built Mercedes Benz 4WD coaches.
  • ‘Welcome to Country’ in Maningrida
  • Special permission to explore and fish barramundi in the remote Tomkinson River waterway
  • Visiting the Maningrida Arts and Cultural Centre and the Djomi Museum to delve into the cultural and spiritual richness of the area
  • Exploring the ancient catacombs and remarkable rock art of Mount Borradaile on an open-back 4WD safari
  • Take a scenic flight over Kakadu National Park and visit the Ubirr art site within the park, home to some of the world’s most outstanding rock art
  • Spot birdlife, crocodiles, bilbies, frilled neck lizards and other wildlife native to the region.

The ‘Arnhem Land & Kakadu Explorer’ tour will depart on its inaugural journey on June 15 with subsequent limited departure dates of June 28 and August 11.

Outback Spirit is running an introductory offer to launch the tour, with the all-inclusive tour price starting from $7,245 per person, including introductory offer savings of $750 per person.
