A plane was forced to make an emergency landing after the cockpit allegedly filled with fumes.

According to a report on msn.com, the British Airways flight was on its way to Prague when the drama unfolded.

Flight BA854 took off from Heathrow Airport and was heading to the Czech capital when it was forced to make a U-turn over Dover.

Several fire engines met the plane on the tarmac as the pilots made an emergency landing. No-one was reported to be injured in the incident.

According to the news site BA refused to give specifics beyond it being a ‘technical issue’.

A spokesperson said: “We’re sorry for the delay in our customers’ journey after the aircraft returned to Heathrow as a precaution.

“Our teams looked after them whilst they waited to board a replacement aircraft to continue their journey.”
