The new third non-stop Melbourne-Dubai service also marks the debut of the airline’s newly four-class retrofit Boeing 777-300ER to Australia.

Melbourne has also become the first Australian city in the Emirates network to offer premium economy and Emirates’ latest generation products on all its services.

The new service includes six first class suites, 38 business class seats, 24 seats in premium economy and 256 economy class seats.

“Melbourne holds a special place in Emirates’ heart, being the first city where we began our Australian journey nearly three decades ago,” said Dean Cleaver, Regional Sales Manager at Emirates.

The Game Changer suites (above & bottom) feature zero gravity seats and floor-to-ceiling privacy doors. The six cabins are arranged in a 1-1-1 configuration in a fully private suite, inspired by the Mercedes-Benz S-Class featuring soft leather seating, hi-tech control panels, mood lighting and a personal temperature controller.

The middle suites also feature industry first virtual windows, projected on HD screens, allowing all passengers to enjoy the views above the clouds.

First Class passengers will also receive binoculars for those eager to explore the world from a new perspective.

The latest refurbished Emirates Boeing 777s include premium economy seats arranged in a 2-4-2 layout, offering enhanced comfort and space (below).

Each 19.5 inch seat is designed to provide optimal comfort and support, with six-way adjustable headrests, footrest, a generous recline and a 13.3 inch TV screen.

The newly retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER is debuted to Australia as part of Emirates multi-billion-dollar retrofit program, which will see the interior of its Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 fleet refurbished, with the addition of premium economy cabins, next generation seats and updated cabin finishings throughout.
