Hong Kong’s home carrier, Cathay Pacific, is proud to announce Sydney Fringe as a charity partner ahead of its annual celebration of the city’s emerging artists and culture creators this September.

In addition, Cathay Pacific will be the Official Airline Partner of Sydney Fringe Festival 2024 and will have a discount of up to 20% off for Cathay members who purchase exclusive ticket packages via the Cathay Shop online.

Starting 30 August, Sydney Fringe Festival brings together creatives from across the city to showcase the dynamic culture that can be explored all year round. As the largest independent arts festival in NSW, the Festival will feature over 400+ performances this year and is eager to be celebrated as one of the world’s leading Fringe festivals.

Cathay Pacific will be a presenting partner to Sydney Fringe Festival Gardens precincts at Darling Quarter and at The Entertainment Quarter, showcasing acts like Soweto Gospel Choir in their double bill of Hope and History of House, epic rock show 27 Club and the Berlin punk duo Otto & Astrid on their Stages Tour.

Encouraging more visitors to the Festival, Cathay members can use Cathay’s reward points, Asia Miles, to take them on a journey to explore new worlds and discover unexpected stories at the festival through Cathay Shop. Six carefully curated packages are now available for purchase at a discounted rate with Asia Miles, cash or a combination of both. These packages are:

Outside of festival time the Sydney Fringe continues to work with public and private sector partners to activate unused space, drive policy and regulatory reform and advocate for independent artists to build a vibrant and sustainable arts, culture and creative industries sector.

With a focus on fostering cultural landscapes across the globe, Cathay Pacific seeks out opportunities to engage with local communities and support programs that encourage unity and acceptance. Through announcing Sydney Fringe as a charity partner, its members will have the chance to donate to the not-for-profit from mid-October.

Mark Nessle, Head of Lifestyle (Loyalty) at Cathay Pacific Southwest Pacific says: “Launching our partnership with Sydney Fringe through the Festival and as a charity aligns with our overarching mission of helping our members move forward in life.  We know it feels good to move – and we’re on a mission to make it happen.  Our supporting partnership with Sydney Fringe Festival 2024 delivers ‘moving moments’ through its unique experiences, engagements, and expressions.
