Aussies now have a new way to get to one of the world’s greatest safari destinations with AirAsia X launching a new route between Kuala Lumpur and Nairobi.
Set to take its first flight on November 15, this marks a historic achievement for AAX as the sole low-cost carrier in Malaysia to offer direct air connectivity to the colourful city.
The Nairobi route serves as a crucial link in connecting Asia to Africa, fostering stronger trade, tourism and business ties within the region. The airline hopes to carry more than 150,000 passengers on the route each year.
By facilitating direct air travel between Kuala Lumpur and Nairobi, the airline aims to enhance accessibility and spur economic opportunities for both countries.
Situated in the heart of Kenya, Nairobi boasts hectares of lush greenery, wide open grass plains and an abundance of wildlife that attracts tourists hoping to see the near-extinct Northern White Rhino or the Great Migration in Masai Mara.
If the wildlife or safari experiences aren’t captivating enough, Nairobi is a bustling metropolis of vibrant nightlife, deeply rooted in culture and flavourful delights stemming from the various cultures and traditions it is home to.
The airline is offering special fares for Aussie travellers.
