A global software issue may be about to cause unprecedented chaos to global travel.

American Airlines, United and Delta have asked the Federal Avaiation Administration for global ground stop on all flights, according ABC News in the United States.

It is reporting that the FAA is informing air traffic controllers to let airborne pilots know that airlines are currently experiencing communication issues.

American Airlines, United and Delta have issued their own global ground stop for their flights.
