HAVE YOU heard the one about the cricketer and the chef?

Australian fast bowler Brett Lee and celebrity chef Karen Martini will headline two of Cunard’s themed voyages during their 2024 Australian homeport season.

The seven-night ‘Voyage of Sporting Greats’ and the seven-night ‘Great Australian Culinary Voyage’ will celebrate Australian culture through the lenses of sport and food.

The two celebrities will help entertain Queen Elizabeth’s 2,000-guests through activities, talks and events aboard, and themed shore experiences.

“It will be great to get on-board Queen Elizabeth to talk to sport enthusiasts and share some legendary memories from my time on the pitch,” said Brett Lee.

“I’m also really looking forward to cruising, it will be my first time and I’m keen to make the most of the ship with everything that’s on offer.”

Departing on February 13, 2024, the ‘Voyage of Sporting Greats’ will sail a roundtrip from Sydney to Tasmania with calls in Hobart, Port Arthur and Melbourne.

“I can’t wait to sail on-board Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth next January and share my dishes and food inspiration with guests,” said Karen Martini.

“I’ll be bringing on some of my favourite fresh Australian produce and ingredients to create a bespoke and memorable food experience, along with sharing food anecdotes and tips I’ve gathered throughout my career.”

Departing Melbourne on January 5, 2024, the ‘Great Australian Culinary Voyage’ will sail to Adelaide and Hobart before returning to Melbourne.

More celebrated chefs and sport stars will be announced in coming months.
