30 top-selling travel agents from Australia and New Zealand have just returned from an unforgettable 9-night famil to Colorado, co-hosted by Sno’n’Ski Holidays and Colorado Tourism. Departing from Sydney and Brisbane on February 22 with United Airlines, agents had the chance to experience four world-class ski destinations across Colorado.
Denver, the Gateway to Colorado:
The adventure kicked off in Denver, where the group stayed at The Rally Hotel, just a short train ride from the airport. After a long day of travel, they enjoyed a lively evening at Tom’s Watch Bar while catching a Denver Nuggets game. Denver’s vibrant, walkable city centre set the perfect tone for the upcoming resort experiences.
Steamboat Ski Resort:
Next stop, the charming mountain town of Steamboat Ski Resort with fresh snow, minimal crowds, and excellent facilities. With many hotels offering ski-in access to the slopes or a short walk from The Steamboat Grand, convenience was key. The picturesque town of Steamboat Springs offered a magical winter village atmosphere, with twinkling lights every night, and a range of dining, après-ski, and shopping options.
Vail Ski Resort:
Next, the group headed to Vail, a purpose-built ski town with wide-open terrain and stunning architecture. Agents were impressed by the wide range of accommodation options, excellent facilities, and vibrant energy. Off the snow, highlights included a unique Kemo Sabe Hat-making experience and a whiskey-making tour, both of which provided an unforgettable taste of local culture.
Aspen Snowmass:
Agents enjoyed the best of both worlds in Aspen! The group experienced both the lively town of Aspen and the ski-in village atmosphere of Snowmass. Agents explored two of Aspen’s four mountains and enjoyed a selection of top-selling hotels, ensuring they’re well-equipped to recommend the right experience in Aspen to their clients. Aspen’s dynamic après-ski scene, dining and luxurious accommodations were a real treat.
Telluride Mountain Resort:
The final stop was Telluride, where the town and mountain village are linked by a free public transport gondola system (how cool is that!). Whether staying close to the slopes or in the Town of Telluride, everything is just a short walk or gondola ride away. Telluride’s quaint charm, stunning backdrops, and vibrant mountain village made it a highlight, with live music and plenty of people-watching to enjoy. Off the slopes, the group enjoyed a thrilling snowmobile tour and live music at the Sheridan Opera House for a well-rounded winter experience.
Throughout the famil, Colorado’s famous 300 days of sunshine delivered perfect bluebird days, making this trip a truly unforgettable experience. With diverse & dynamic terrain, and a welcoming atmosphere, Colorado is a top destination for winter travellers.
The Sno’n’Ski Holidays Mega Famil, in partnership with Colorado Tourism, offered agents invaluable insights into these world-class resorts, equipping them with first-hand insights to create exceptional ski holidays for their clients.
