Their seven-day Irish Escape tour took in all the highlights of the Emerald Isle from the Cliffs of Moher to downtown Dublin.

The trip also included a visit to the John Meade pub to join in St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, including the official street parade which featured marching bands from around the world, performers, dancers and decorated floats.

The group consisted of Emily Jones, Helloworld Travel Orion Springfield; Darcie Comben, Flight Centre 278 Collins Street; Tanya Edwards, RAA Travel Elizabeth; Kathryn Chatfield, Helloworld Travel Hervey Bay; Ciara McDonnell, Helloworld Travel Ayr; Drazenka Middleton, The Cruise & Travel Store Penrith; Mark Green, Sunseeker Holidays Newcastle West; Sarah Bannon, Tailor Made Travel Mt Gambier.

The Irish tour is the top seller out of the 28 tours offered as part of Globus’s off-season Escapes program, showcasing a range of countries and their key sights at special shoulder season prices.

The group was hosted by Anji Tierney, Business Development Manager (Queensland West/South), who said the entire tour offered non-stop high spirited Irish fun.

“It was terrific for our top agents to get firsthand experience of all that Ireland has to offer, from visiting landmarks like the Blarney Stone to sipping Irish coffee and witnessing the spectacle that is St Patrick’s Day in the Irish capital,” she said.

“Our group was serenaded with live music at the John Meade pub which legally opened in 1705 but actually started serving its first drinks 20 years earlier in 1685.

“Ireland has so many incredible old tales and in Killarney we had a taste of nostalgia with a wonderful horse-drawn carriage ride to the castle.”

Globus is currently waiving the single supplement on select 2025/2026 Escapes Europe tours until May 1.
