Q: Why did you think it was important for the future of your business to join an agency network? 

A: Joining Travellers Choice was a no-brainer for me. It’s all about growth, access to better deals and staying connected with the latest travel trends.

We want to give our clients the best experiences possible and being part of a network like this helps us do that while at the same time expanding our reach.

A: Travellers Choice stood out for us because of its amazing support system and the flexibility it offers!

I spoke to some other agents who have been with Travellers Choice for a lot of years and they couldn’t speak more highly of them. They have a fantastic reputation in the industry. It’s the perfect blend of independence with the backing of a powerful network.

Q: How do you think the travel industry is looking as we begin another year?

A: I’m feeling so optimistic. People are more excited than ever to explore new places and tick off their bucket lists. Travel is back in full swing and with new destinations opening up and experiences evolving, it’s a great time to be part of this vibrant industry.

I also think we’ll see more focus on sustainable travel and meaningful experiences, which is exciting for both travellers and agents alike.

Q: What are some of the major challenges facing travel agents and the industry?

A: One of the biggest challenges is navigating the ever-changing travel regulations and staying on top of things like pricing fluctuations and availability. But honestly, challenges like these are what make us more resilient and creative.

We’ve also had to adjust to the rise in DIY bookings online, but that’s where we shine with our personalised service, expert knowledge and the little touches that make a trip unforgettable.

Q: What is it about the travel industry that you love so much and that keeps you motivated?

A: I absolutely love the magic of travel. It’s the joy of helping someone plan a dream trip, seeing their excitement and knowing we’re creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Every day is different and that sense of discovery, adventure and connecting people to new experiences is what keeps me motivated.

Travel truly changes lives and I’m so grateful to be part of that journey.

Q: What plans do you have for the future of Oh Travel Co?

A: We’re focusing on expanding our escorted tours, especially for seniors, and growing our curated travel experiences. We want to keep offering personalised, unique adventures that our clients love while embracing more sustainable and off-the-beaten-path destinations.

We’re also excited to launch our shiny new website to make everything easier and more exciting for our clients.

Q: Do you have any exciting travel plans for 2025 that you can share with us?

A: 2025 is going to be packed with fun. I’m planning a unique 10-day adventure to Japan with a mother-daughter duo, focusing on girly fun and unique experiences.

Plus, I’m dreaming up some new escorted tours for my clients – so watch this space for some fabulous travel news. It’s going to be an exciting year!
