With only a few days to go until December first, Booking.com has uncovered the top destinations for Aussies making the most of the summertime. The new search data released today* highlights Aussies’ favourite domestic and international destinations.
Close to home, the data has cemented Australia’s city of breathtaking beaches and iconic attractions, Sydney, as the number one most desired destination to kick off summer. The sun-soaked Gold Coast is second, and Melbourne third. The highest climber, Tweed Heads jumped 25 places, now the 12th most searched destination for summer in Australia.
Looking further abroad, Asia is on every Aussie’s list. Seminyak claimed the number one spot, confirming that Aussies are still eager to enjoy a Balinese tropical getaway, with Ubud, Canggu, Legian, and Kuta also sitting in the top 10. Vibrant Asian cities also dominated the list for summer getaways, with Tokyo taking the second spot and Singapore, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur, and Seoul also making the top 20.
