Some of Australia’s biggest stars are set to take the stage as 50,000 people gather for the annual Carols in the Domain Christmas special.
Destination Canada has partnered with the event for the third consecutive year, promising to bring a touch of North America to the concert in Sydney on December 21.
“The spirit of this event aligns beautifully with Canada’s values,” said Julie King, Managing Director of Destination Canada in Australia.
“Canada’s natural beauty, vast open spaces and welcoming hearts beckon to Australians seeking authentic winter experiences that create lifelong memories.”
This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever, with a Canada-themed precinct where visitors can immerse themselves in a winter wonderland.
Highlights include a life-sized snow dome and an authentic snowy ambiance. Guests will also have the chance to enter a competition to win a winter adventure with Air Canada to Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper, staying at Fairmont Hotels and Resorts.
“Partnering with Woolworths Carols in the Domain for a third consecutive year is a significant step in establishing Canada as the ultimate winter destination in the hearts and minds of the loyal Carols audience,” added Ms King.
“This partnership has allowed us to bring Canada’s winter culture to life in Australia, fostering a lasting connection with those dreaming of a true white Christmas.”
“Destination Canada continues to add an enchanting element to Carols, both through the on-ground activation at the Domain and the TV broadcast segment, giving visitors a taste of Canada’s winter wonderland,” said Michael McKay, President of activeTV and producer of Carols in the Domain.
