Finalists for the Most Outstanding Travel Journalist Award have been announced as part of the 2024 National Travel Industry Awards (NTIA). The Finalists, chosen from a competitive pool of submissions, are:
- Carrie Hutchinson
- Jessica Lockhart
- Kerry van der Jagt
- Michael McHugh
- Stephen Scourfield
Each Finalist submitted three applicable articles for review by an independent panel. These articles were judged on five criteria:
- Overall impact: How engaging, thought-provoking and informative is the story? Does it bring about change?
- Research: Does the article contain valuable tips, insights and advice for the reader?
- Tourism promotion: Does it inspire the reader to travel?
- Support for the travel profession: Does the story promote the use of ATAS-accredited travel businesses and professionals?
- Industry advancement: Does the article contribute to the conversation on industry issues or opportunities?
