In a demonstration of environmental stewardship, the Tourism Garden team rolled-up their sleeves on 20 September and took part in cleanup activities to remove waste from Mosman’s coastline. The initiative not only made a tangible difference by removing 11 kg of waste but also served as a reminder of the importance of collective action in addressing environmental challenges. World Cleanup Day is an annual global social action program aimed at combating the global waste problem and is now declared an official United Nations Day.   

The initiative aligns with Tourism Garden’s clients, Visit Monaco, a leader in sustainable tourism with an ongoing commitment to environmental preservation. The Principality of Monaco leads many projects to raise awareness on the protection of the environment and aims to become carbon neutral by 2050. Similarly, Tokyo and Kyoto are both cities on the same path, making tremendous efforts in destination stewardship environmentally and culturally.
