Journey Beyond has today launched a three-day southbound adventure aboard the Great Southern chasing the summer sun between Brisbane and Melbourne with the first departure Monday 9th December 2024.
This release will be supported by a comprehensive campaign available to our valuable trade partners.
Alicia Triggs, Executive General Manager, Sales and Partnerships at Journey Beyond says, “The Great Southern season is always an exciting time of year, and we are delighted to now offer your clients the opportunity to disembark in Melbourne for the first time. There is no better time to visit than summer with the city as the epicentre for sports, arts and entertainment and a foodie’s paradise”.
The Great Southern’s three-day adventure along the east coast takes guests South from Brisbane to Melbourne and reflects the best of coastal Australia, encompassing charming beach and port towns before disembarking in the sophisticated city of Melbourne. The bright orange locomotive chases the summer sun, sharing the incredible coastline with those who want to experience it by train.
Guests may have done this as a road trip before, but there is nothing like doing it with the ease, comfort and fabulous fun of an all-inclusive rail trip, with no driving required. “Now, guests can fully immerse themselves in the moment, taking in the ever-changing landscape and lush green hues as they relax on board. They can also enjoy personalised Off Train Experiences that showcase the finest regional food, wine, art, and culture.” Alicia said.
