SKYE Suites Parramatta has announced the promotion of Irlanda Garcia to the role of General Manager.
Irlanda was previously the Front Office Manager on property and has done stints as acting General Manager at SKYE Suites Parramatta’s sister property.
She has contributed to the success of SKYE Suites Parramatta’s including an increase in staff retention, upping the hotel ranking from 12th to 4th place on Trip Advisor, and raising guest satisfaction scores to 91.
Her other passion is sustainability where she has implemented a number of programs at the hotel with big plans to expand further. She is looking forward to building closer business opportunities with partners in the local Western Sydney community and continuing partnerships with Westmead Children’s Hospital and DV Collective, a national domestic violence initiative created to bring together Australian corporates and philanthropic organisations to do more in the domestic violence space.
Irlanda attributes her success to the support and mentoring she received in her early years in the hospitality industry and is committed to fostering an environment in which all her team will thrive and succeed.
She’s been a finalist in numerous hotel industry awards and is multi-lingual, speaking fluent English, Spanish and Portuguese.
SKYE Suites Parramatta has 72 rooms styled in a Japanese-inspired modern minimalist palette featuring bespoke designer furnishings and superior amenities.
