Regularly voted one of the top five greatest musicals of all time, West Side Story returns to the spectacular Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour over-water stage this March.
Visitors will have the opportunity to experience this smash-hit musical in a unique open-air setting unlike no other, with the city lights, Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House creating a dazzling backdrop.
A slice of New York City’s gritty backstreets and urban gang culture will be recreated on the outdoor stage, two and a half times larger than any theatre in Australia, when this critically acclaimed production returns on 22 March for a limited four-week season until 21 April 2024.
Firmly established as a ‘must-see’ event, Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour delivers a quintessential Sydney experience. World class entertainment in a uniquely Australian setting with nightly fireworks, stunning views of Sydney’s skyline and world famous landmarks complete the vista.
In addition to the pop-up stage and grandstand seating for 3,000, the custom-built site offers an impressive range of themed dining and drinking options that make the most of the magnificent views.
